The global crisis situation triggered by the coronavirus created an explosive demand for mechanical respiratory assist devices.
Our team designed and patented a system of adapters to ventilate independently and simultaneously, two patients with the same respirator. These adapters allow the ventilation parameters of each patient to be individualized according to the particular needs of each one of them, also avoiding cross contamination.
We have carried out tests on both simulators and animal models, confirming the results.
