Hi! I am Mia Imming, founder of DutchPath Services located in Delft, The Netherlands! I am from the United States, but moved to The Netherlands in January 2020 to start a new chapter in life. My Higher Education journey took me to 3 different institutions in 3 different countries: USA, Sweden, and The Netherlands. At these universities, I developed a passion in helping people navigate the intricacies of going abroad through different positions as a Study Abroad Ambassador, Marketing & Promotions Lead, International Student Mentor, and International Student Recruitment Assistant. I also have international recruitment experience with both scientific and commercial roles in and outside of The Netherlands, but mainly in Europe. The Netherlands is a great place to live, work, and study. It is known for its high standard of living, excellent education system, and diverse culture. However, non-EU citizens face unique challenges when trying to study or work in the country. Life here can also be very different than what you are used to in your home country. That's where I come in and act as the person I wish I had when I was moving here. For those who want to study in the Netherlands, I provide advice on navigating the visa application process and finding the right educational institution. Once you get your degree here and fall in love with the culture and country, you will need to apply to a “zoek jaar” or search year visa to stay here in most cases. This makes you eligible to continue to live in The Netherlands and begin your career here! I can give you advice on how to best leverage this 12 month visa.
