Dynamic Consent is a disruptive technology which provides trust and transparency to the management of personal information and services – both online and offline. Dynamic Consent ensures that consent given is in the continued control of the user and that that consent is truly informed for as long as it is provided.
The initial implementation of Dynamic Consent is in the field of clinical studies (trials, biobanks, cohort studies). By turning a clinical study participant's informed consent into a continuing dialogue, Dynamic Consent increases trust, and engagement for study participants, and allows more flexible study design for clinical researchers (by allowing participants to rapidly give consent to new study protocols). Dynamic Consent is a spinout project from the HeLEX Centre for Health, Law and Emerging Technologies at Oxford University.
