Dynamic Maritime Solutions (DMS) is a Maritime Consultancy.
Its proprietor is Captain Mark Pointon, who has over 40 years maritime shipping experience and extensive knowledge and passion for Dynamic Positioning - in this area he is considered to be a Subject Matter Expert.
Mark moved to Western Australia, with his wife and 3 children from the UK in 2011, after being recruited by Farstad Shipping, to set up the Dynamic Positioning Facility at the Farstad Shipping Offshore Simulation Centre, in Bibra Lake.
Prior to this, Mark worked at The Nautical Institute in London UK, where he was responsible for managing the Dynamic Positioning Training & Certification Scheme. In this role, Mark initiated the structure for the Dynamic Positioning Training Executive Group (DPTEG) and the Regional Training Provider (RTP) groups. He attended numerous conferences and events around the world as a keynote speaker and liaised with key industry stakeholders. Mark was also the Lead Auditor, visiting and accrediting over 60 Dynamic Positioning Centres globally.
Mark decided to set up Dynamic Maritime Solutions (DMS), to provide a one stop shop” for both operational and educational advice and offers services in the following areas, Dynamic Positioning (DP) Training / Consultancy, Maritime Consultancy and Training & Assessment services to Australian Boat schools (ABS).
