NSEA-Network for the operational Support & Education of the Civil Protection volunteers'Associations

NSEA - DYOPP (GR: ΔΥΟΠΠ - Δίκτυο για την Υποστήριξη της λειτουργίας και την Εκπαίδευση των εθελοντικών ομάδων Πολιτικής Προστασίας) was founded by the Municipalities of Thessaloniki, Thermi, Pylaias – Chortiati, Neapolis – Sykeon, Oreokastrou & Komotinis. Its mission is the establishment of a coherent framework of actions for the education, training & support of voluntary risk management teams facing forest fires, floods & intense weather conditions. Focused on these, the work of NSEA is to: - Educate, train & support volunteers - Use protocols, instructions, software &, in general, tools in education. - Manage risk of forest fires, floods & extreme weather Conditions through volunteering in Greece & other countries - Train of bodies for the prevention of weather conditions - Enhance of the interest & motivation of volunteers to protect the environment - Improve infrastructure & skills for rational risk management - Disseminate the technology & know-how related to its objectives - Form or participate as a contractor in program contracts for study & execution of risk management projects & programs - Undertake, implement & participate in integrated programs for the rational management of forest & forest fires by volunteers - Develop a network of data sources, expertise & information in the field of risk management, in order to act as a relevant mechanism for handling & exchanging - Establish a network of continuing agencies from Greece & abroad for the promotion & implementation of activities & programs - Promote education & information from Greece to other countries about rational risk management - Promote, support & participate in forms of collaboration with other countries to meet the company's goals - Develop technical cooperation & conclude research agreements with educational institutions, research centers, government agencies & Non Profit Organization - Provide expert services to stakeholders
