D.Y. Patil deemed to be University School of Dentistry is one of the largest and oldest dental schools in Maharashtra catering to the education of many of our nation's dentists. The school provides a full array of top-rate educational opportunities – from the undergraduate and postgraduate to the PhD programme. At present the school has 438 students in its undergraduate and postgraduate programs, from all over the country. More than 80 per cent of all currently enrolled students are women. Our students and patients benefit from the skills and experience of our highly devoted faculty, and a rich collaborative environment.
• The school conducts a mobile dental care program, which travels to dentally underserved areas throughout the city and interiors to provide critically needed dental services. It sponsors free oral health and oral cancer screenings for thousands of residents annually and has established a global outreach model that delivers essential care to populations in need.
• Established in 1990, Dr. D Y Patil Dental College & Hospital was originally affiliated to the University of Mumbai and then to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences Nasik (MUHS), but now is a constituent school of the D Y Patil Deemed to be University since 2002 & the name is changed to D Y Patil Deemed to be University School of Dentistry.
• In 2009, University was assessed and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council at the level of 'A' grade with a CGPA of 3.34. In 2014, NAAC re-accredited the university with ‘A’ Grade with a CGPA of 3.40 out of 4 in its second cycle. For the third cycle, NAAC re-accredited the university with ‘A++’ Grade with a CGPA of 3.59 out of 4
