This is based on the experience, knowledge and network of Founder and CEO, Mark Dytor. Previously, Mark worked for JSE-listed group, AECI (AFE), for 4 decades including 10 years as Chief Executive. Given the diversity of Mark’s background, the firm is focused on chemical alternatives and substitutes as well as green chemistry, pioneering technology and renewable energy in the areas of Agriculture, Chemicals, Mining and Water. Ability to grow by M&A After acquiring a primary business, the firm looks to buy smaller businesses that can grow the primary business by means of new capacity, capability, geography, offering and/or reach, leading to: • Accelerated growth (compared to growing organically) • Enhanced offering (products and services) • Improved efficiency and profitability • Increased value of the primary business as a larger entity 2. Sustainability of the business model • Gross margin (± 10%) • Longevity of technology being deployed • Manufacturing and distribution capability • Scalability • Unique selling proposition (products and services) The firm has access to finance from multiple sources and is building a multi-billion rand deal pipeline.
