Our venue, steeped in rich history, once served as the largest scythe factory in the world during the 19th century. Founded in 1882 by the German merchant Emil Posel, Dūmų Fabrikas quickly became renowned for producing high-quality scythes made from Swedish steel. By the early 20th century, it was the most technologically advanced scythe factory globally, manufacturing up to three million scythes annually.
Today, we have transformed this iconic space into a vibrant cultural hub, perfect for both private and public events. At Dūmų Fabrikas, our mission is to shine a spotlight on one of Vilnius’ most misunderstood district, bringing it to life through a diverse array of events.
Our versatile venue hosts a wide range of activities, from private celebrations and corporate gatherings to public events like concerts, theater performances, art exhibitions, and cultural festivals.
