Today, the automobile industry is in search of alternatives for fossil fuel and a sustainable eco friendly solution to the problems of pollution and diminishing energy resources. The most appropriate alternative is the electric vehicle. However there are logistic issues associated with energy storage devices and the number of charging stations available for electric vehicles, which are not easily chargeable like the internal combustion engine. Also the electric vehicles cannot cover a large distance after every charge. Our goal is to bridge the gap between the internal combustion engine vehicles and the electric vehicles through research in hybrid electric vehicles which can provide an efficient and environment friendly mode of transportation.
As a first step towards changing this scenario we will be introducing a product "PEV" in the field of personal transportation.
