Eagle Downs Coal is currently under construction and is in the process of establishing an outstanding and sustainable underground longwall mine with the potential to produce up to eight million tonnes of coking coal annually.
Located in Queensland’s thriving Bowen Basin 20km from Moranbah, the Eagle Downs Project is owned by the Bowen Central Coal Joint Venture (BCCJV), the participants in which are Bowen Central Coal Pty Ltd (50%), a subsidiary of Vale Australia Holdings Pty Ltd, and Aquila Coal Pty Ltd (50%), a subsidiary of the Australian listed mining company Aquila Resources Ltd.
Eagle Downs Coal Management Pty Ltd is the appointed manager on behalf of the joint venture.
