About Early Learning Community
We are committed to provide each and every child a high quality and joyful learning experience. Each child brings their own interest and culture to the early learning setting. Our teaching team will build a classroom environment that respects and builds on these experiences and knowledge to create a strong sense of community among the children in the group. We ensure that all children are heard and understood and see their culture reflected in the curriculum and classroom materials in meaningful and authentic ways. When children see themselves reflected in the classroom environment and instruction, they feel cared for and connected, safe to be themselves, and part of the school family which provides optimal learning. Our students learn to understand themselves more deeply and to make meaning of the world around them; they build the courage and confidence to think independently and develop the skills to work respectfully and collaboratively with others. ELC has become a vital part of the Johnson County community, partnering with other nonprofits, schools and businesses. As educators we are committed to continuous quality improvement of ourselves and our program. We are proud to offer training and support to families and future early childhood educators. Education….it takes a community Our mission is to build better futures for children in, but not limited to, Johnson County by promoting and providing learning opportunities that encourage family involvement, in collaboration with schools and the community. The vision of Early Learning Community Preschool is for every child to have opportunities for successful learning in order to reach his or her full potential in school and life. Our Guiding Principles: 1. Partner with families to ensure the transition between home and school goes smoothly 2. Promote a love of learning 3. Prepare your child for kindergarten 4. Provide opportunities for all children to attend preschool regardless of a family's income
