EARTH NGO

EARTH is “an Organization in Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council.” EARTH is committed and engaged in achieving SDGs by UNDP, to make sure we leave a better planet for future generations. Our NGO ‘EARTH’ is a unique combination of three categories i.e.; Sustainable Development, Financing Sustainable Development, Awareness of Social and Economic Rights. We have indulged in Research and Systematic study of policies, laws and rights. These researches have been supportive of many other initiatives taken up by our government. We have instrumental in influencing public opinion and/or policy by the means of advocacy/lobbying and have been successfully able to make amendments to certain policies/laws. We work at the local level in the urban and rural areas and have been associated with the grass-root level for various initiatives. Considering this scenario, we belong to all three categories and would like to contribute immensely for the same today and in the coming future. The NGO has been actively involved in promoting and informing about fair practices for a long time. We have an ultimate goal of working for United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specially SDG-3, SDG-4, SDG-5, SDG-6, SDG-7, SDG-13, SDG-16 educating people about their rights. Creating awareness on existing policies and means to benefit out of the governmental offerings is our sub-goal and we have been effective in doing so. We bridge the gap between government agencies and the citizens in order to develop a healthy relationship between them. We reach out to the youth and motivate them to participate and know more about current affairs and developmental issues as they will be the torchbearers of tomorrow. The environmental issue we focus on is to make our world plastic and pollution-free and planting of trees in large scale.
