Earthed Therapies

I have over 27 years experience and am a qualified Remedial and Relaxation Massage Therapist, and have also completed trained in pregnancy and sports injury massage. My personal story started when I was 12 years old and injured my lower back, thus requiring chiropractic treatment. I recall observing the muscular skeletal charts displayed on the wall and was fascinated by the human body and its structure. I vividly remember the sheer relief I experienced after the treatment and it was then I knew I wanted to help people and facilitate that kind of pain relief, which so many of us experience and endure during our lives. I completed my first Swedish Therapeutic Massage course in 1993 and worked as a Remedial Massage Therapist and Mobile Massage Therapist for many years in Toowoomba, Brisbane and Sunshine Coast. In 2019, I upgraded my qualification with a Diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy to meet minimum current standards and also became a member of the Australian Natural Therapists Association (ANTA). I was the recipient of an ANTA Bursary Award, which assisted me to fund my professional education. The Earthed Therapies clinic was opened in May 2021, and am passionate about identifying the cause of the injury and providing pain relief for the condition. I believe a treatment is an individual experience and addresses the concerns that brings the client to the clinic. "I prefer calm, gentle therapeutic techniques and alter pressure and methods as required. I naturally work with trigger points and listen intently to my intuition. I also utilise muscle energy techniques (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) in many of the my sessions".
