EarthSwitch Architects is an established architectural practice based in Nelspruit. The architectural practice’s application of current environmental sustainable building standards (SANS 10400-XA), sustainable design principles and the use of sustainable earth materials to create new architectural designs that is current with global architectural trends, is a distinguishing factor of the practice. The practice is dedicated to applying energy efficient building solutions (SANS 10400 & SANS 204) and “green” building principles such as passive and bio-climatic design to adapt a building to its natural energy efficiency potential. EarthSwitch makes use of new and alternative building techniques and materials while maintaining contemporary design principles. We encourage the use of recycled materials as well as materials with a low environmental impact, thereby reducing life cycle costs.
