About Eastern District NCPHA
The first recorded annual meeting of the Eastern District North Carolina Public Health Association was in 1961. It was organized in 1960 with Dr. L.E. King and Charlie McCotter as co-chairs. EDNCPHA is comprised of 55 counties in the eastern part of North Carolina. Members include Public Health Professionals who work to educate, promote, and improve the health of all North Carolinians. Today, the Eastern District North Carolina Public Health Association is committed to protecting and promoting the public and personal health of the citizens of Eastern North Carolina. We strive to promote a closer working relationship between and within local health departments and allied agencies.
