Easynet Connect was combined with Easynet Global Services in March 2014, to form a single global entity. The two organisations continued to operate under the Easynet brand until they were acquired by Interoute in 2015. Prior to the amalgamation of the two businesses, Easynet Connect was a leading provider of quality connectivity and internet access for small and medium size businesses in the UK. Established in 1994 Easynet had one of the largest networks in the UK with 6030km of fibre and last mile access to more than 70% of UK businesses via a network of more than 1,200 unbundled exchanges. Easynet was the first ISP to launch a reliable fixed-rate 100Mb fibre service across London and was the first provider in the UK to offer DSL services over an unbundled local loop.
