The EasyPro project aims to make Irish universities carbon neutral. To do this, the project will develop a tailored Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) Facilitation Service and procurement framework, which will be implemented at four pilot universities. The project was formed in response to the EU objective of transitioning to a clean energy system and the Irish Government’s Climate Action Plan, the latter of which sets a target for all public body sectors to improve energy efficiency by 50% by the end of 2030. By the end of the project, EasyPro will facilitate up to €45.3 million of investment in energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.
