Sprout aims to help solve the stress and frustration of fussy eating for the hundreds of millions of families around the world who struggle with fussy eating challenges every day. These challenges include nutritional, medical and growth issues for children alongside stress and anxiety for parents and children alike.
Sprout provides a new digital tool for parents to better understand the underlying causes of THEIR child's fussy eating and automatically recommend a tailored range of Responsive Feeding activities and tools (delivered through the Sprout app) to help them improve their child’s relationship with food.
Whilst there are existing sources of support for parents including; low cost but generic resources (books, websites, social media, recipe apps), personalised but very high cost private professional support (Dietitians, Psychologists) and national health services / insurance (low cost and personalised but with very long waiting times/limited support), the new algorithm developed through this project will help Sprout be the first of its kind to deliver truly personalised help and advice at a low cost to millions of parents.
