East Broad Records is an independent record label founded on April 1, 2021, with one simple but radical belief: making art matters—no matter what. After decades of writing songs, performing, and building a successful digital marketing agency, I launched East Broad Records to create the label I wish had existed when I was younger. One that sees the value in great songwriting, even if it doesn’t fit mainstream definitions of marketability. One that champions artists who are often overlooked—because they’re too queer, too old, too weird, too honest, not "cool" enough, or their music doesn't fit a corporate mold. We support singer-songwriters and independent artists who may never land a major label deal—but whose work deserves to be heard. Our model centers on fair, transparent, and artist-first deals: often 50/50 splits, no debt, no advances, and sometimes no cash at all—just real support, mentorship, and meaningful collaboration. What drives us is the magic of the creative process—especially that transformation from a rough "on the couch" demo to a fully produced studio recording. That’s the work we love most: helping artists take their songs to the next level and release them into the world.
