Ebullient

‘Ebullient’ stands for Cheerfulness and being full of Energy. But as has been our experience, across Society, and particularly,in the Business arena, despite human progress and increase in material well being, there seems to be a lurking doubt about human energy, enthusiasm and exuberance keeping pace in the same proportion. In fact, the three very apparent disillusionments in the modern Industrial / Neo liberal economics based Business Scenario, are the following: 1. Ecological disaster-the wanton growth models of development based on energy intensive / non renewable sources of energy consumption primarily amongst others being largely responsible. 2. Increased inequality between the have-s and the have-nots, particularly in the last about 30 years (based on one of the studies)where the 1% of the American elite within US has become richer by about 21 trillion dollars while the bottom 50% has grown poorer by about 900 billion dollars in America. This is true ( probably even worse)about the affairs in almost all,except for the Scandinavian countries. Social delinquency, marginalisation of those at the bottom of the socio-economic pyramid and growth of extreme violence in the society at large are a direct consequence of this gruesome reality. 3. At the individual level, social nihilism,economic ostracisation, despair and despondency due to maladjustment in Societal structure- growing suicide rates across the world particularly and strangely the more developed ones. Increasing Globalisation, impelled by its own momentum, and further acceleration due to the technological disruption caused by convergence of the cyberspace, physical and the bio space, as a part of the current ongoing 4th Industrial Revolution, is amplifying the already existing faultlines of the existing Ecological,Societal and Business order even further, both in terms of magnitude as also the complexity.
