Eclectic Synthesis is a Creative Arts company founded by Chris Walker and Jake McCullagh, 2 young storytellers with a passion for their craft and the tenacity to graft.
The Flagship product of the company is Red Rampant: A video game set in the Scottish Wars of Independence led by Robert the Bruce. The player is a boy-turning-man from a small village, who can fight and progress through maze-like plot paths all while their environment adapts around their choices both big and small. But England will inevitably invade and defeat the Rebellion.
It’s up to the player to go back and find one of the ways that they can change the tides of war, to influence this international conflict so significantly that Scotland win.
We strive not only to make video games, but we have plans for films, music, animations, board games and projects all over the creative arts canvas. Anyone who joins our team is free and encouraged to entangle their drafted dreams within our Eclectic Synthesis.
As far as our approach to any specific project, we really strive towards innovation and re-considering industry norms and conventions. Something that’s summed up best by the line in one of our songs:
