SW Healey & Associates was established in March 1998, with Stephen Healey acting as the sole company director and Principal Civil & Structural Engineer. Initially the company provided only structural engineering services. In 2000, the company expanded to include civil engineering services in response to requests from existing clients.Early expertise was in portal framed buildings, industry light-weight cold formed steel sections. The company provided consulting services to many different steel organisations who supplied products ranging from domestic garages through to full 60 metre span industrial buildings. Since then, the company has evolved significantly, finally renaming to ECLIPSE Consulting Engineers in August 2008, however the strong focus on highest level of service and expert advice in the fields of civil & structural engineering has remained unchanged. The company expansion has allowed for the continued development and improvement of the areas of expertise and the ability to offer a wider range of structural and civil engineering services. With the employment of additional key personnel, the company's field of expertise has continued to expand. Today the company provides consulting services in the following technically specialised areas: - Cold-formed steel portal frames - Clear span structural steel portal frames - Post-tensioned long span steel structures - Post-tensioned concrete structures - Precast concrete buildings
