Founded in 2004, Eka Cipta Mandiri (ECM) began its journey driven by a passion for cargo and a commitment to boosting the national economy. Our mission is to facilitate the distribution of goods for SMEs, e-commerce companies, corporate clients, and forwarders across Indonesia. In 2008, we became an official Cargo Agent for Garuda Indonesia, enhancing our ability to distribute goods nationwide. As Indonesia's e-commerce market experienced rapid growth, so did we. The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020 significantly disrupted commercial aviation, including operations of Garuda Indonesia and other airlines, with a 60% reduction in flight schedules. This caused a backlog of goods at Cengkareng Airport, prompting us to rethink our approach. We responded by chartering cargo planes to ensure timely and efficient delivery for our partners. Recognizing the immense potential in the cargo industry, we took a bold step in January 2022 by establishing our subsidiary, PT. EXPRESS CARGO AIRLINES, and acquiring our own fleet of cargo aircraft.
