ECO2 was founded in 1992 under the name Ecoline. The company, based in Ophasselt near Geraardsbergen, has 7 employees and supplies packaging and supplies for tissue culture or fabric cultivation. In vitro propagation is done in polypropylene grow containers with an ingenious filtration system in the lid, developed by the company Combiness NV. This system allows gases to be exchanged with the environment, while the cases are still 100% hermetically sealed and thus remain completely sterile. This avoids the risk of contamination via air and excludes invasion of trips or mites. The assortment was expanded with polystyrene grow containers to meet all the needs of the market.
