Eco Pledge is a pioneering initiative dedicated to eradicating the harmful practice of stubble burning while fostering sustainable farming practices in the heart of India's agricultural landscape. With our vision firmly rooted in environmental stewardship, we have embarked on a transformative journey to make a significant difference in Raichur district's Khanapur Village.
Our mission is two-fold: first, to create awareness among farmers about the devastating effects of stubble burning on the environment and public health. Second, we actively engage with the farming community by offering them a meaningful source of employment during the post-harvest season, which was once considered idle, through the collection of their agricultural waste.
At Eco Pledge, we firmly believe that farmers play a crucial role in safeguarding our planet, and our commitment to this cause goes beyond just raising awareness. We collaborate with farmers to collect their agricultural waste and compensate them fairly for their contribution. This empowers them to become agents of change, as they actively participate in preserving the environment and mitigating the adverse effects of stubble burning.
Currently, our focus lies in the conversion of the collected agri-waste into eco-friendly briquettes, serving as an alternative fuel source. This innovative approach not only curtails the harmful practice of stubble burning but also addresses the pressing issue of waste management in the agricultural sector.
Looking ahead, we envision taking this initiative to new heights by exploring avenues to transform biomass into more valuable and sustainable products. Our dedicated team is actively researching and developing methods to convert this agri-waste into pulp and bio-gas, contributing to the circular economy and fostering greener solutions for a better future.
