Eco-Skaters Initiative

𝐄𝐜𝐨-𝐬𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬, a youth‐led environmental initiative, was founded as part of Active Citizens Project by British Council in 2023. Our mission is to raise awareness of the climate change crisis, plastic pollution, and its consequences on the Mediterranean Sea and Alexandria's coastlines. Skating is one of the top alternative methods of transportation, the actual act of skating itself is sustainable. Eco-skaters merge skate events with sustainable environmental purposes focusing on Youth Sustainable Lifestyle. The initiative helps in hosting green events that involve environmental activities and workshops and actively works to become more sustainable and meet particular sustainability guidelines and benchmarks.
