After winning several awards in Canada, including from the Fondation du Maire de Montréal, the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC), Chafrik and Chantier d’Afrique du Canada, Fakan brought back her expertise to transform waste management into an economic development opportunity in Africa. The company is now active in Senegal, Guinea, Mali, Equatorial Guinea, Liberia, Burkina Faso, Niger and Mauritania.
