Centre for Environmental Initiatives “Ecoaction” (or "Ecodiya") is a civil society organisation uniting experts and activists around the idea of saving the environment through influence on decision-making. We are striving for energy efficiency, renewable energy, combating climate change, development of sustainable transport and agriculture in Ukraine.
Our vision: Humanity in its development saves the environment clean and safe.
Our mission: To act in protection of environment through influence on decision-making and development of active community.
Our main goals are:
🌏 striving for higher energy efficiency and transition to 100% renewable energy by 2050;
🌏 informing population about climate change issues and advocacy in support of progressive climate policy in Ukraine;
🌏 development of public transport infrastructure to reduce air pollution and harmful emissions from cars;
🌏 environmental security of agricultural production through introduction of modern standards and technologies;
🌏 support communities which are defending their environmental rights and willing to participate in decision-making.
We understand that uniting efforts is crucial to achieve big changes. That’s why Ecoaction experts are also members of NGO networks: Climate Action Network Europe; Climate Action Network Easter Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia; CEE Bankwatch; INFORSE Europe; Ukrainian Climate Network; Reanimation Package of Reforms; Ukrainian Network for Rural Development; Civil Society Board at the State Energy Efficiency Agency of Ukraine.
