About EcoFertiS
The EcoFertiS project addresses the urgent need for sustainable agriculture by focusing on waste management and soil fertilization. Its objective is to transform agricultural and animal waste into ecological fertilizers, thus improving the quality and productivity of soil while being more respectful of the environment. Modern agriculture often relies on chemical fertilizers, which can harm soil health and reduce crop quality. in addition, agricultural waste and manure are often poorly managed. EcoFertiS uses a circular economy approach to convert waste into valuable biocompost and natural fertilizer. By employing advanced processing methods, these materials become organic matter that enriches soil health. The project also produces biogas, offering renewable energy to power farms, leading to a self-sustaining and environmentally friendly agricultural model. The EcoFertiS project brings numerous benefits: better soil structure, better water retention and increased fertility. Over time, this will increase agricultural yields while reducing reliance on chemical fertilizers. Additionally, using waste to create renewable energy helps farms become more resilient and self-sufficient. With the support of partners from around the Mediterranean, EcoFertiS aims to transform agricultural waste management and soil fertilization practices. The project combines innovation, ecology and sustainability to meet the agricultural challenges of the 21st century.
