EcoFoodSystems takes a food systems research approach to enable transitions towards diets that are more sustainable, healthier and affordable for consumers in city regions. The project carries out research in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and Hanoi, Vietnam.
The EcoFoodSystems research project is funded by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for International Partnerships (DG INTPA) Development Smart Innovation through Research in Agriculture (DeSIRA) Initiative (Grant Ref: FOOD/2021/428-851) and managed by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) through Grant Agreement No 2000003776 with the University of Galway. The EcoFoodSystems research project is led by the University of Galway, in partnership with Alliance of Bioversity & CIAT, Wageningen University and Research and RIKOLTO.
