ECO Institute of Environmental Science and Technology (ECO-IEST) is established to generate knowledge through research and studies on environment in ECO region; to strengthen human resources through training and educational programmes, seeking to expand theoretical and practical knowledge; to promote scientific and technical cooperation and exchange of experiences and create a network of experts in the region; and to strengthen bilateral and multilateral co-operation to mobilize international assistance for environmental conservation in the ECO region.
