Eco Insights is a non-profit organization, part of the Integrated Business Experience (IBE) at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Our company is composed of fourteen students who are looking to use our dedication and real-world thinking to save our planet. Each one of the students within our company have a shared goal of learning and gaining more experience to have a better understanding of what it takes to run and operate a company and how to become successful entrepreneurs. At the end of our eight-week selling period, we donated 100% of our profits to Habitat for Humanity to benefit our surrounding Mankato community.
The goal behind our company, Eco Insights, is to provide efficient quality and affordable eco-friendly products which can be used sustainably. The majority of our potential customers are customers of all age groups that care about sustainability and want products that will not increase the destruction of the planet. Eco Insights strives to encourage as many people as possible to purchase reusable products that can better the environment. All of our products are made with Bamboo, to help support our eco-friendly theme with products such as shiplap Minnesota-shaped cutting boards, and reusable bento box-style lunch boxes. The items were delivered in biodegradable mailer bags we received from the company PackHelp to further support our eco-friendly mission.
Eco Insights was able to donate the entire proceed amount of $1526 to Habitat for Humanity, South Central MN and had a Gross Sales amount of $3,605.
