The Ecological Systems Design Group (ESD) is led by Prof. Dr. Stefanie Hellweg and is a chair at the Institute of Environmental Engineering, in the BAUG Department of ETH Zürich. The goal of our research is to develop and apply cutting-edge decision support methods for sustainable production and consumption. We do this by modeling, assessing, and improving the resource efficiency and environmental performance of products and processes, new technologies and consumption patterns from a systems perspective.
