Economic Equality

Economic Equality is a part of Women’s Health in The North's (WHIN) strategic priority work. The Economic Equality team works with grassroots communities, partner and stakeholder organisations to promote equity for women and gender-diverse people, with a focus on economic empowerment and reducing the barriers to access financial knowledge and resources. Our program areas include: - Financial Literacy - Mental health and financial wellness - Gender equity - Prevention of gender-based economic abuse against women - Cultural competency. The Economic Equality team delivers the award-winning 'Let's Talk Money' program, which is offered as community workshops in Melbourne or as a Train-the-Trainer program across Victoria. We are dedicated to: - Developing training and resources. - Conducting research to promote women’s economic capability and financial security. - Delivering financial literacy programs including ‘Let’s Talk Money’ to improve financial capability. - Providing workforce capacity building training and consultancy with the aim of reducing economic inequities across the state.
