The Economics Unit at IIT Delhi is nestled within the Humanities and Social Sciences department. Engagement with faculty and students from other social sciences disciplines provides a unique learning opportunity for our students. The faculties supervise around 50 graduate students at different levels of completion towards their Ph.D. degree. The Unit is renowned for its commitment to equipping professionals with cutting-edge skills for the dynamic world of economics. At IIT Delhi, we also take pride in delivering a unique two-year fulltime Master of Science program that is benchmarked against the rigor of top international Masters’ courses in Economics. Our program is thoughtfully designed to meet the specific needs of the industry, offering a practical blend of quantitative techniques and empirical applications - Python, R, STATA. As a culmination of their studies, students undertake a comprehensive MSc research project that allows them to apply their knowledge to real economic problems, building a strong portfolio of work.
