ECONUT is a project initiated by Klaipeda University and funded by Interreg South Baltic Programme 2021-2027. The project aims to develop biotechnologies and value-added products for sustainable agriculture, protecting dunes from erosion and biodiversity loss. The biotechnologies will utilize beach wrack from the Baltic Sea coastal zone by ecologically designing the flow of nutrients for the needs of the soil and aquatic ecosystems following the principles of a circular economy.
