ECOPA is a Architecture and planning firm focusing on four main elements: 1) Regional & Urban Planning 2) Urban Design 3) Architecture 4) Interior Design The scope of work of our firm it can be described as multi-disciplinary, we are involved in Urban and Regional Strategic Planning, Detailed Planning, Urban Design and Landscape Architecture, as well as Architecture. The collective experience in our firm reaches more than 35 to 40 years of professional work with a blend of local and international academic exposure of most of the founders and senior staff within the firm. We have been heavily involved in several city planning projects some of which were capital cities to different provinces in Egypt. Each and every city had its unique essence and nature. Cities like Quena, Komombo and Quos, are located in the South of Egypt on the banks of the Nile emerging close to the historical ancient monuments, but also having gone through the transformation from agriculture based to industrial based economies. Other cities such as Mansoura, Qaliub, Meet Ghamr and Talkha are located in the heart of the Nile Delta, with a different social fabric, settings, and background with the main challenges facing these cities being the rapid urban sprawl on the account of the limited agricultural lands. While cities like Kharga, Baharya and Farafra belong mainly to the Western Desert Oases and of drastically different climatic, architectural, and urban settings.
