ECORE is an initiative of currently over 150 of the largest real estate investors, developers and banks in Germany.
With the ECORE scoring, a standard was developed that makes sustainability in real estate portfolios transparent, measurable and comparable.
In addition to the ESG criteria, the necessary taxonomy criteria of the Action Plan on Sustainable Finance of the EU and the goals of the Paris Climate Protection Agreement (e.g. via CRREM) are mapped. The scoring is continuously updated with the new EU instruments. Using a point scale from zero to 100, all stakeholders, such as tenants, investors and investors, can see to what extent a property or portfolio reflects the climate targets and ESG criteria. From this, the operational optimization potential of a property is derived in detail.
Real estate investors and property owners are facing major challenges on their way to carbon-neutral portfolios. The regular and trusting exchange within ECORE on best practice approaches and success stories helps you to initiate the right measures to achieve the climate protection goals.
The targeted expansion of the sustainability network is a key success factor. Against this background, 20 ESG Solution Partners within ECORE currently support the transfer of know-how. The climate target can only be achieved through increasing collaboration among all market participants.
