About EcoSensory Therapy

EcoSensory Therapy is an integrative treatment approach to support both the physical and mental health of participants by using nature as a healing medium to regulate through the senses. It is an evidence-based model of practice developed by health professionals; Occupational Therapists, Chris West and Claire Pemrick and Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Matt Slavin. Our mission is to give health, education and social care professionals the confidence to use nature as a healing and regulating medium in their everyday practice. The research for how nature positively impacts people of all walks of life is compelling. However, we understand how challenging it can be for professionals to translate their expertise and practice into the outdoors with confidence. At EcoSensory Therapy we have developed an evidence-based model of practice to support the socio-emotional; developmental; physical and behavioural needs of children, young people and adults. Our mission is to provide practitioners with the training, resources, and confidence to safely move their clinical practice back into nature.
