EcoUrbs is a consultancy firm, founded in July 2011, working mainly in the field of Planning and Architecture. At EcoUrbs, we offer services in the field of urban planning and design ranging from macro level planning to micro level planning. Our team comprises of mentors working in the field from more than 30 years as well as young enthusiasts who want to contribute in the field of Urban Planning and Design with keen interest throughout. We have been fortunate to work on various important projects like the ‘GIS Based Master Plan and Zonal Development Plan for 18 towns of Jharkhand’ whereby we tried to identify the local importance of each town and created strategies accordingly to strengthen the economic base of the towns while ensuring that each town receives best quality of infrastructure and facilities irrespective of their size or population. In yet another project, namely ‘Integrated Development Plan for Eco-Sensitive Zone of Dandi’, the challenge was to create livelihood opportunities for the local people of the Dandi village and the surrounding 6 villages, while ensuring that the ecology of the project area which has been declared as ‘eco-sensitive’ is maintained. Gandhinagar Smart City Proposal was another project, where with a different approach; we explored the ideas to integrate the technology with the planning approach to come up with the smart solutions for the citizens of Gandhinagar. We also got an opportunity to work with MEGA for a project of which we proposed Land Development Mechanism Guidelines, in terms of to get a value capture from the development along transit corridor in Ahmedabad. Later the second project from a same client, we developed a Vision Plan for River Bank Land near Motera Stadium as a Sub-CBD for the twin city of Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar, offering world class transportation and infrastructure. Since last 7 years, with the strong team of experts we aspire to become the leading firm in the field of urban planning.
