Here at Ed W. Smith Machine Works, we have a long history of innovation in the fields of metal fabrication and vane separation technology. EWS was founded in 1939 to engineer, machine, and fabricate diverse mechanical equipment. In 1953, EWS patented their 2-phase gas-liquid separation apparatuses. Since the 1950s, EWS has engineered, fabricated and packaged process separation equipment, capitalizing on our staff's expertise, and the proprietary EWS vane mist extractor design. Ed W. Smith Machine Works custom designs and manufactures Vane Mist Extractors for streamlined installation into customer fabricated separator vessels to provide essential gas-liquid separation protection for vital downstream process equipment. We provide solutions for a variety of application including gas and renewable diesel, chemical manufacturing, commercial dyeing, and water treatment.
