Edens Plants & Creations

Edens Plants & Creations is a plant breeding company and nursery based in Wezep (The Netherlands). The main breeding activities are classical breeding within the species Calluna vulgaris, also known as heath, Hebe and Conifers. Started in 1972, Edens Plants & Creations now provides more than 100 growers in Western-Europe, Eastern-Europe, Japan, The United States and Canada, controlled by agents. During long test phases, all selected varieties are tested for resistance of diseases, durability, luminosity, uniformity and a wide range of other quality characteristics. In the early nineties, we developed the red filled-flowering Calluna vulgaris Dark Beauty®, this variety is still popular. In 2013 our assortment includes more than 50 protected bud-blooming Calluna varieties. These bud-blooming varieties are very special because the closed flower-bud which results in a very long flowering time. The bud-blooming Calluna's are protected under the name Beauty Ladies®. Our latest innovation is the Skyline Serie. These Calluna varieties are characterized by an intense distinguishable foliage color, thick branches and square looking shoots. In the coming years we will expand and intensify our breeding activities.
