Edirisa

Edirisa means a window in Rukiga, the main language of southwestern Uganda. We strive to give our guests an authentic local perspective on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi and beyond. We are set up as a social enterprise (non-profit company) because we believe that business-oriented activities are the best approach for long-term social and economic development. We make a weekly podcast about responsible tourism SEE AFRICA BREATHE AFRICA straight from a grass-thatched cottage. In 2022 Edirisa on Lake Bunyonyi is celebrating 20 years of its existence.
