EDIT Recovery, Ltd was founded in 2013 by “Dr. Dorie” McCubbrey, MSEd, PhD, LPC, LAC, CEDS to provide training and certification in Eating Disorder Intuitive Therapy (EDIT)™ – an evidence-based approach for the treatment of Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa and Binge Eating Disorder.
EDIT™ was initially created in 1995, following Dr. Dorie's own journey of recovery from eating disorders. Dr. Dorie has been a specialist in the treatment of eating disorders and addictions for 20+ years, during which time she has further refined her EDIT™ theories and techniques.
Dr. Dorie created the EDIT™ Certified training programs to provide a standardized credentialing process for health professionals who are interested in obtaining clinical skills to work with eating disorders.
Dr. Dorie is passionate about training and supervising clinicians for eating disorder recovery coaching and eating disorder treatment. She conducts EDIT™ Certified online training and EDIT™ Certified Women's Retreats in Colorado – and by invitation at treatment centers and other locations.
