Born of French Art de Vivre and Asian influences, EDITION de VIE’s lights collections are consciously designed to stir the emotions. Whether lit or unlit, EDITION de VIE lights stand as powerful works of art, defining interior ambiance and highlighting the beauty of a space. Virginie Moriette, architect and designer, co-founded in 2006 Studio MVW specialized in architecture, interior design and furniture design, which became through the years one of the most acclaimed design studios in China. Known for its ability to subtly connect contemporary Western and Eastern aesthetics, Studio MVW has won major international awards in Asia and Europe, including Wallpaper* Design Award en 2018 and 2014 ; 5 times in a row AD 100 China Design Talents Award in 2021,2109,2017, 2015 and 2013; ELLE Decoration International Design Award in 2013, 2011, 2009 and 2006. The studio had completed projects for prominent private clients and companies specialized in luxury, hospitality and lifestyle and limited-edition collections showcased by Paris-based Galerie BSL and major world fairs such as PAD London/Paris, Design Miami, Nomad Monaco and The Salon Art + Design in New York. Driven by a heartfelt desire to create functional yet artistic lighting designs that celebrate the connection between space and light, Virginie Moriette embarked on a journey of discovery, a two-year research and development odyssey. Exploring connections between different worlds, Moriette identifies stories. In so doing, she creates an inspirational travel book (or Carnet de Voyage) of experiences, anchored by her own personal journey that she transliterates in art-lights collections under the name EDITION de VIE.
