Launched in IIT Delhi in 2020, Edna BioLabs produces speciality enzymes for the Indian and global markets. Our initial product offering includes enzymes in the molecular biology and mass spectrometry segments and derivative products, including kits and reagent mixes. Our founding team has leveraged years of experience in biomolecule production in top universities (IIT Delhi, ICT Mumbai) and leading companies (Biocon, Syngene, Intas) to launch Edna as a commercial venture, guided by our Scientific Advisor, Prof. Anurag S. Rathore, Coordinator of the DBT Centre of Excellence for Biopharmaceutical Technology.
Our vision
Having experienced the difficulties and expenses involved in procuring high-quality enzymes and reagents for our research, we are determined to make a difference in the Indian market by providing top-quality speciality enzymes at an affordable price to academic and industrial research labs.
We later hope to enter the diagnostics segment, as speciality enzymes are critical reagents in many IVD testing and biomarker detection kits and are currently majorly imported from the USA, Europe, and China. We believe that the availability of high-quality domestic enzymes will improve affordability and accessibility to diagnostics information for Indians across the country.
