The EDTNA/ERCA (European Dialysis and Transplant Nurses Association/European Renal Care Association) was established to address the special educational needs of nurses and other healthcare professionals caring for patients who suffer from Chronic Kidney Disease. This includes all aspects of renal treatment prevention and early detection of Chronic Kidney Disease, management of dialysis therapy, transplantation and supportive care. The Association has grown to become one of the most important forums in Europe for exchanging of information and experience for all members of the renal care team who treat and care for patients suffering from renal failure. EDTNA/ERCA is a multi-disciplinary organization of individual members. Association membership is open to nurses, technicians, social workers, dieticians, unit managers, transplant co-ordinators, and any other professionals working with renal patients.
