EDU-DAPRO

EDU-DAPRO (EDUcational resources for training adults on digital DAta PROtection) is a Strategic Partnership project in the field of Adult Education funded with the support of the programme Erasmus+. The project aim is to develop open educational resources and training for businesses and citizens in the context of the new European regulation on data protection. Come into application in May 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) provides a set of data protection rules for all companies operating in the EU, wherever they are based, thus allowing people to have more control over their personal data. However, there is a need to step up awareness, train EU citizens to protect their data, and support businesses and SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) in their efforts to comply with this new regulation. The EDU-DAPRO project answers the need of training in the field of data protection, by developing open educational resources for businesses and training providers. The partnership will develop a digital diagnosis tool related to the level of maturity concerning the implementation of the law, an e-assessment tool in order to evaluate the knowledge and competences of employees in charge of managing data, as well as a mobile app combining e-learning modules and chatbots to support training in and out of the work or training place. This approach ensures an open-access participation in training activities, promotes innovative teaching and learning through new technologies and digital contents. In order to complete and vary the training offer, we wish to develop two complementary game-based educational materials: a digital board game on the management of personal data and an escape game activity for face-to-face group activities.
