At the EDC, we are committed to improving timely education data access and transparency. In December 2023, we launched the State Assessment Data Repository out of Brown University in an effort to make state assessment data more widely accessible and engaging for the general public. In January 2025, we formed the Education Data Center. The EDC grew from the need across organizations, education leaders, policymakers, researchers, and parents to be able to more easily find and use annual state summative assessment data. We believe that timely data access and transparency are critical for stakeholders to be able to make evidence-based decisions on how to support our nation's students and address their academic needs.
