eduTrips is an online system designed to help schools and colleges manage educational visits easily and professionally. Quick and easy to use, eduTrips guides the user through a simple process of organising, tracking and managing any type of off-site visit. Passionate about raising standards, Melanie Blackmore (Chartered quality professional) and Mark Rastrick (CMIOSH) founded eduTrips in 2008, the year in which BS 8848 was first published. Experts in British and International quality and health and safety standards in the education sector soon established that educational establishments not only needed to raise standards, but also make it easier for teachers to plan and run trips. Whilst at the same time providing transparency of trip management and empowering ‘Best Practice’ in all aspects of educational trips. No context with providing an educational visits manual and templates for schools, they recognised that trip leaders needed an intuitive system that reduced the administrative burden and time consuming tasks involved.
